Tollway hears county road concerns 6/3/2010
Lake County Board Chairman Suzi Schmidt met Tuesday with new Tollway Executive Director Kristi LaFleur to discuss two key local transportation improvement proposals -- the Route 120 widening and bypass project and the extension of Route 53 through Lake County.
"I thought it would be good to meet with her and invite her to see the Route 120 area and the Route 53 area," Schmidt said.
Schmidt acknowledged the tollway is unlikely to take on the Route 120 project in the near future, but said it is important to build support and partners to eventually move the projects forward, perhaps with federal funding.
